One more permanent repair is to remove or jumper jacks as well as any
rarely used switches. And if you know the precise value of pots, replace
with fixed resistors. I recall having one of those and while they worked
very nicely, they were a maintenance nightmare.  Doing the above along
with a recapping might extend the life another few years.

With that said, I would also consider the labor. Anything more than a
couple hours and $200 in parts per unit might not be worth it compared to
a newer two or four channel uP based processor. If this is a contract
station, most certainly something to consider.
